John 11:28-44 I Am the Resurrection and the Life, Part 3 Summary: Do you ever wonder if Jesus cares for you? I think Martha and Mary may have wondered about his care when their brother Lazarus died. But today, we get to see the depths of Jesus' love, and his power over death. How were Mary and Martha's approach to Jesus different when he arrived? 2. Why does the text tell us repeatedly that Jesus was deeply troubled (see 11:33,38) and that he wept (v.35)? What does this tell us about Jesus, and how might that help you in your own sorrows? 3. Why did Jesus pray before he raised Lazarus from the dead? What does it show us about his relationship with the Father? 4. How does this miracle foreshadow what Jesus came to do? How can it help you as we prepare for Good Friday and Easter?
