Genesis 17:9-14 The Sign of God’s Covenant Summary: Have you ever put your name on something that belongs to you? Maybe it is a toy or a piece of clothing you don’t want to lose. Why do we do that? We mark something out as our own personal possession. God places His sign of ownership on us too! Today we will see that God gives us a sign of His covenant - today that sign for us is baptism. It is a sign of His promises to us, and that we are His people. Let’s see what God Word says about this: Outline: 1. God gracious covenant includes the children of believers 2. God’s gracious covenant is confirmed with a sign Verse: Genesis 17:7 And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.
