You Will Be My Witnesses Acts 1:1-12 Summary: Happy New Year! What would you love to do in 2014? Do you have special plans? Jesus has a plan every year for His people: One day long ago after Jesus rose from the dead, he ascended into heaven. Before He left, he promised to give us the power of His Holy Spirit and told us that we would be part of His plan to tell the world the good news of His salvation. Let's think about it and pray that God would use us for His plan in 2014: Outline: 1. The completion of the Great Commission requires the power of the Holy Spirit 2. Where does Jesus call us to go? to our neighbor and the nations 3. Jesus’ promise to return gives us hope in the mission Verse: Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
