Synonyms are words that have almost the same meaning. Here is an example of synonyms. That storm cloud is HUGE! That storm cloud is ENORMOUS! Antonyms are words that have opposite meanings. Here is an example of antonyms. I LOVE the rain! I HATE the rain!
On a separate sheet of paper match up the words that are synonyms and antonyms. There should be 8 pairs of synonyms and 7 pairs of antonyms.
