Ephesians 4:31 – 5:2
Imitators of God
Today in our sermon we will talk about getting rid of anger and putting on kindness. Most people in the world would agree that we need to be kind to one another, but Christianity is different: The Bible teaches that we are naturally unkind and we're unable to change on our own, but Jesus loved us so much he died for us so we could finally have the power to be transformed to look like Him - into loving people! Let's think about it:
Outline:
1. The prohibition- Put off the destructive pattern of sinful anger
2. The pattern- Put on the new life of LOVE for one another
3. The power- the love of God FOR YOU
Verse: Ephesians 5:1–2
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
