Title: God Calls You to Be Optimistic About Your Mission and Ministry Even in Adversity
Text: Phil 1:12-18
Summary:
Sometimes God brings difficult times into our lives for different reasons. We often endure sickness, or the death of a loved one, or someone mistreating us because we love and serve Jesus. Whenever those times come, God uses them to help us cling to Jesus and his faithfulness. He also wants to use trials to make us more like Jesus and more ready to serve Him! Let's listen to Pastor Eby as he talks about these things from the book of Philippians:
God calls you to be optimistic about your mission and ministry even in adversity:
I. Because God can use adversity to prepare you for significant ministry (1:12)
II. Because God can enable you to be faithful where He places you (1:12-13)
III. Because God can use you where you are to be fruitful and to impact others with the gospel (1:14-18)
Memory Verse: Philippians 1:12 I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel...
