John 12:9-19 Behold Your King! Have you ever seen a horse up close? They are beautiful and majestic animals. Often kings would ride powerful and large horses as a symbol of their power. But have you ever seen a donkey? They are much smaller, slower, and weaker animals. They can even look funny! We would probably not imagine that a king would ride such an animal. But this is what Jesus did! Today we celebrate Palm Sunday - the day that Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a humble donkey, showing us that he was a humble king who came to give his life for us. He continued to be humbled all the way to his death on the cross for our sins. Let’s listen and worship our humble King! 1. Are you avoiding the King? 2. Are you beholding the King? Mark 11:9 Hosanna! Blessed is He who come in the name of the Lord!
