Range Name: An identification label assigned to a group of cells. Also know as defined name.
Name box: The text box located to the left of the formula bar.
Function: A preprogrammed excel formula for a complex calculation.
Criteria: A value, some text, or an expression that defines the type of cells you're looking for.
Expression: A sort of equation (such as B6>25) that returns a value,such as TRUE or FALSE. Excel uese expressions to identify cells to include in certain formulas, such as IF and SUMIF.
Nesting: Using a function as an argument within another function.
Argument: A Variable used in a function. An argument can be a number, text, formula, or cell reference. A comma separates each argument in a funtion.
Chart: A graphic that allows you to compare and contrast data in visual format.
Embedded chart: A chart placed as an object within a worksheet.
Chart sheet: a chart that occupies its own worksheet.
Plot: To postion data points on graph.
