The Mary Rose was the flagship of the Tudor navy. It was Henry VIII's favourite ship and very powerful. It had over 400 men aboard. It sank during the Battle of The Solent 1545 when France and Britain were at war with each other. It was raised in 1982 and had spent over 300 years under the sea.
