Genesis 24:1-28 Five Hundred Miles to Find a Wife Summary: Sometimes trusting God is very hard, isn’t it? Today’s Bible passage helps us. Abraham believes in God’s love and faithfulness, and so he sends his servant out on a mission to find his son Isaac a wife. His servant prays and asks God for help and direction as he goes. We too can trust that God is faithful, we can pray for wisdom, and ask God to direct us! Let’s think about it: Outline: 1. The man who trusts: We must believe in God’s solid promises 2. The servant who prays: Prayer is the evidence of depending on God 3. The God who provides: God delivers more than we even ask Verse: Proverbs 3:5–6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
