God Will Provide the Lamb
Genesis 22
Summary:
Sometimes it is hard to understand God and His ways, and today our Bible passage is a hard one. God asks Abraham to put his own son Isaac to death. It sounds terrible! While it is a hard question, we do know that God is good and loving, and He didn’t want Abraham to put all his hope in Isaac. God wanted Abraham to trust and hope fully in Him alone! In the end God didn’t let Abraham kill His son. Today listen to this story and remember two big things: God wants us to love him most, and God wants us to live and not die. Let’s think about it:
Outline:
1. Abraham’s test shows us that we need to love God more than anything
2. God wants us to live and not die, so He has provided the Lamb of God
Verse: Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
