Psalms 1 & 2: What is the Blessed Life? Summary What is the point of life? Why are we alive and how do we enjoy life at its best? Psalm 1 and 2 introduce us to the entire book of Psalms and what brings delight and joy in life. Full life is found in loving God's law and seeking refuge in God's king, the Messiah. Do you love God's law? Have you kept perfectly? We have not. Does this mean we cannot have a happy life? Well, Psalm 1 and 2 point us to Jesus. We can be thankful that finding refuge in the Messiah, in God's king, means finding refuge in Jesus who loved and kept God's law perfectly so that we also might have delight and joy in life.
