Another Day in Paradise
Genesis 2:4-17
Summary:
Have you ever made sand castles or tried to make things out of the mud? Can you imagine making a person out of dirt? This is what God did when he made the first humans! Today we'll look again at Genesis to see how God made Adam and the original test the Lord gave him. Let's find out why this is important for us:
Outline:
1. The man – God made Adam from dust, yet with His own breath of life
2. The temple – God made the garden of Eden for Adam to work and guard
3. The sacrament – God held out the promise of eternity through the tree of life
4. The test – God tested Adam’s faithfulness through the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
Verse: Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
