The Prayer that Shook the Foundations
Acts 4:23-31
Summary: Last week we talked about a time when God's people suffered for telling others about Jesus - they were arrested and warned to not speak about Him again. Have you ever had others treat you wrongly or teased you because you love Jesus? Let's see today what the disciples did: THEY PRAYED! Let's learn from them:
1. Pray when when you are suffering for the Gospel
2. Pray with help and hope from God's Word
3. Know that when you suffer, you have a Savior who suffered also
4. Our greatest need when we suffer for Jesus may not be relief, but courage
Verse: Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
