BUT GOD
Text: Ephesians 2:4-7
Summary:
Last week we talked about what it means to be dead in sin, and we saw that we are not able to save ourselves. If we're honest about our sin, it seems like there is no hope for us. BUT GOD! Those two words that we see in our Bible passage show us our hope. We were lost BUT GOD has done something to save us! He's given us a Savior. Let's think about these two powerful words:
1. The Gospel summed up in two words: BUT GOD
2. WHAT has God done?
a. We were dead, BUT GOD made us alive
b. We were slaves, BUT GOD made us heirs
c. We were condemned BUT GOD gave us grace
3. Why did God do this? For His glory and for your joy Verse: Ephesians 2:4–5 (ESV) 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.
