Lord of the Sabbath, Part 2
Matthew 12:9-21
Summary:
Have you ever had a chance to help someone who was hurt? It's a great thing to help someone in need. In our Bible passage today, Jesus heals a man with a hurt hand, but the religious leaders are angry because he healed the man on the Sabbath Day. Jesus wants to tell us that this day (now our Sunday) is the greatest day to do good and have mercy! Let's listen closely:
1. The Lord of the Sabbath calls us to do good on this day
2. The Lord of the Sabbath puts human needs above human rules
3. The Lord of the Sabbath confirms His right to rule this day
4. The Lord of the Sabbath is also the Suffering Servant
